Privacy Policy
Local Audit Desk provides public-information visibility audits for local businesses. This policy explains what information is collected, how it is used, and how to contact us.
Short version: we collect only the information needed to process payment, understand the business being audited, deliver the report, respond to messages, prevent abuse, and maintain basic business records.
Information We Collect
We may collect information you submit through Stripe checkout, email, or other direct communication, including:
- Name and email address.
- Business name, city/state, website URL, Google Business Profile link, and notes you provide.
- Payment status, order details, refund status, and delivery status.
- Messages you send to Local Audit Desk.
We review public information customers can already see online, including websites, Google Business Profiles, reviews, photos, public listings, and public contact paths.
Payment Information
Payments are handled by Stripe. Local Audit Desk does not receive or store your full card number. Stripe may process payment information according to Stripe's own terms and privacy policy.
Website Data
The website may generate basic technical logs through hosting providers, such as IP address, browser type, device information, visited pages, and timestamps. These logs help keep the site reliable and secure.
We may add privacy-conscious analytics later to understand page visits, button clicks, checkout interest, and contact usage. If analytics are added, this policy should be updated to describe the provider and data collected.
How We Use Information
- Process audit orders and verify payment status.
- Prepare and deliver visibility audit reports.
- Respond to questions, revision requests, refunds, and support messages.
- Track order status and maintain business records.
- Prevent abuse, spam, fraud, or misuse of the service.
Sharing
We do not sell customer information. Information may be shared with service providers needed to operate the business, such as Stripe for payment processing, Zoho Mail for email, Vercel for website hosting, and professional advisors if needed.
Data Retention
We keep order, payment, delivery, and communication records as long as reasonably needed for business, tax, dispute, refund, compliance, and operational purposes.
Your Choices
You can request correction or deletion of information by emailing hello@localauditdesk.com. Some records may need to be retained for legal, tax, payment, or dispute reasons.
Security
We use established service providers for hosting, payment, and email. No online service can be guaranteed completely secure, but we aim to limit what we collect and avoid requesting passwords or account access for the audit.
