We may collect website usage information, including:

We review public information customers can already see online, including websites, Google Business Profiles, reviews, photos, public listings, and public contact paths.

If we contact a business by email, we may keep limited outreach records such as business name, contact email, website, date contacted, response status, follow-up status, and opt-out status. We use this to manage outreach and avoid contacting people who asked not to be contacted.

Payment Information

Payments are processed by Stripe. Local Audit Desk does not receive or store your full credit card number. Stripe may collect and process payment, billing, device, fraud-prevention, and transaction information according to Stripe's own privacy practices.

Microsoft Clarity and Website Data

We use Microsoft Clarity to understand how visitors use our website. Clarity may collect usage information such as pages visited, clicks, scrolling, mouse movement, device/browser information, approximate location, heatmaps, and session interactions. We use this information to improve the website and audit ordering experience.

We do not intentionally use Clarity to collect sensitive personal information. Local Audit Desk does not ask for passwords, private customer data, private analytics access, or login credentials for a standard audit.

Microsoft may process Clarity data according to the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

Cookies and Similar Technologies

We may use cookies or similar technologies for essential website operation, payment and checkout operation, analytics and site improvement, fraud prevention, and security. Microsoft Clarity may set non-essential analytics cookies. Stripe may use cookies or similar technologies for checkout, payment processing, fraud prevention, and security. See our Cookie / Analytics Notice for more detail.

How We Use Information

Sharing

We do not sell customer information. We may share information with service providers that help operate the business, including payment processors, analytics/session replay providers, website hosting providers, email providers, checkout or form tools, cloud storage or document tools used to prepare and deliver audits, and professional advisors if needed.

Current service providers may include Stripe for payment processing, Microsoft Clarity for analytics/session replay, Vercel for website hosting, Zoho Mail for email, and related infrastructure providers.

Data Retention

We keep order, payment, delivery, outreach, opt-out, and communication records as long as reasonably needed for business, tax, dispute, refund, compliance, security, and operational purposes.

Audit working files are generally retained for up to 12 months unless they are needed longer for customer support, dispute handling, legal compliance, business records, security, or service improvement.

Your Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or information about how your personal information is used. To make a request, email hello@localauditdesk.com. Some records may need to be retained for legal, tax, payment, fraud-prevention, opt-out, or dispute reasons.

You can opt out of business outreach by replying "no thanks" or otherwise asking us not to follow up. We may retain limited opt-out records so we can honor that request.

You can control cookies through your browser settings. If you are in a location that requires opt-in consent for non-essential analytics cookies, analytics should not be used unless the required consent is obtained.

Children

Our website and services are intended for businesses and adults. They are not intended for children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, but we aim to limit what we collect and avoid requesting passwords, account access, or private customer data for a standard audit.

Policy Updates

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date at the top shows when it was last updated.
